At Luckychair we invite you to purchase the following
books, software, and hardware. As an Amazon
Affiliate, Luckychair earns a teeny-tiny commission
from sales through these links. These earnings help
us to slide our fees for non-profit organizations and
certain economically challenged small businesses. We
thank you for your support!
If you're looking to build your own website, become
a web designer, or improve your current web design skills,
the following books (including two I authored) will be
great additions to your web library. Also in the list
are Julia Cameron's Artists Way, a great book for anyone
feeling creatively stuck and for those who feel ready
to pursue their dreams, and three of Jim Krauss's Index
books.
Our Software Recommendations
To begin your new career as a web designer, you'll first
need to get the right software and then learn how to
use it. For software, at a minimum, you will need Dreamweaver,
Photoshop, and Illustrator. You can buy these independently,
or purchase the full CS3 suite of Adobe products. Other
software programs include Adobe Contribute, which lets
the non-designer take control of editing some of their
own website content, clip art packages from Hemera, and
Adobe Acrobat Professional, for converting almost everything
into PDFs.
Our Hardware Recommendations
At Luckychair we're always looking for good products
to help make our work more fun and easy. That's why we
can recommend, with confidence, most of these hardware
items. The rest are on our wish list!
And
for those of you with children, we highly recommend
these smart educational diversions:
